Battery Ratings Explained:
An amp hour (AH) is found on deep cycle batteries. The standard rating is an amp rating taken for 20 hours. For example, for 100 AH rated battery, drawing from the battery for 20 hours means it’ll provide a total of 200 amp hours. This translates to about 5 amps per hour.
Reserve Capacity (RC) is a very important rating. This is the number of minutes a fully charged battery at 80-Degrees (F) will discharge 75 or 25 amps until the battery drops to a voltage below levels to sustain output.
